ST515N Outdoor 5.8Ghz Wireless Bridge 3-5Km Transmission
ST515N Outdoor 5.8Ghz Wireless Bridge 3-5Km Transmission
ST515N is a high-performance, multi-purpose 5.8GHz wireless bridge product with Qualcomm core solution. High TX power, high-quality hardware and a built-in 15dBi directional antenna make it an ideal choice for medium and short-range transmissions. It is recommended to be used in the last 3 kilometres, and the longest transmission distance can reach 5 kilometres. It is suitable for various video surveillance scenarios such as agriculture, forestry, industry, commerce, transportation and docks. The iPoll 3 intelligent dynamic polling protocol based on TDMA technology is well-known in the wireless industry for its excellent anti-interference ability. Even in high-density and severe interference scenarios, iPoll 3 can still ensure stable transmission and higher throughput. iPoll 3 supports wireless traffic optimization, the QoS priority supports DSCP mode under 802.1p, 4 priority queues is supported and the most complete support for multiple services has been provided. The product design meets the IP-66 waterproof level, and relevant indicators such as temperature and humidity are in line with industrial standards, along with the 2kv surge resistance design to protect the device in complex electrical environments, the product has high reliability.
Best alternative to high-cost wired network transmission
The wireless bridge products can connect two or more local area networks (LAN) together. They transmit network data through wireless signals, allowing wireless communication between different LANs. Simply put, it transmits network data and network video surveillance through wireless instead of network cables. Wireless bridge networking usually consists of two or more devices forming a point-to-point or point-to-multipoint network. In many network communication scenarios where wiring is difficult or the distance is too long, flexible and low-cost wireless bridge solutions can effectively replace wired networks.
Wireless transmission in video surveillance
Wireless transmission is used more and more widely in outdoor video surveillance, especially in park monitoring, construction sites, dock monitoring, oil fields, etc.
IPoll 3 intelligent polling wireless protocol
The wireless protocol based on TDMA technology can not only eliminate transmission congestion and self-interference generated in outdoor long-distance point-to-multipoint transmission but also with the latest intelligent polling mechanism it groups the connected stations according to their activity. Stations that require less traffic are assigned to low-activity or idle groups and are allocated less airtime (fewer polling times) while those requiring greater traffic stations are assigned to active groups and allocated more airtime (more polling times). By reducing the total number of times of polling the stations, lower latency and higher total throughput are achieved. Even in point-to-multipoint scenarios of 1 to 64 or more, the overall network efficiency will not significantly decrease.
Multicast enhancement
The multicast optimization function allows multicast traffic to be sent only to terminals in need, avoiding the waste of network resources.
Advanced QoS
- QoS in iPoll 3 supports transmitting pre-marked data according to priority.
- QoS (L2/L3 or DSCP/COS) - supports different priority traffic types (must be implemented with switches that support corresponding functional mechanisms)
- Providing 4 queue priorities for different services (best effort, background, video, voice)
- Strict policy based
- Supports multiple services (data, voice, video, etc.)
Professional graphical user interface
The device management GUI is based on HTML 5 technology, which is responsive, easy to configure, and adaptable to computer browsers and mobile browsers.
Rich frequency band + non-standard channels +multiple bandwidths
Supporting 4.9Ghz~6.1 Ghz ultra-wide frequency band. Providing much more options for channel planning and avoiding occupied channels. Supporting multiple bandwidths of 5Mhz/10Mhz/20Mhz/40Mhz. Providing greater flexibility for transmission distance/capacity/interference avoidance. The narrower the bandwidth, the longer the transmission distance, the stronger the anti-interference, the lower the throughput; the wider the bandwidth, the shorter the transmission distance, the weaker the anti-interference, and the higher throughput. Supporting non-standard channels. Non-standard channels have a 5MHz channel step and allow users to select centre frequencies will not be valid with 802.11 specifications, bringing more possibilities for channel planning and interference avoidance.
Note: Please comply with local laws and regulations when selecting the corresponding channel.
Built-in rich and useful tool set
- Site survey
- Spectrum Analyzer
- Antenna alignment
- Link test
- Ping & Traceroute
With the tools, users can easily and efficiently deploy and troubleshoot without resorting to third-party tools.
Extremely compact engineering-grade housing
Streamlined design, more refined appearance, lighter weight, and higher waterproof rating (IP-66). The lightweight design allows the outer packaging of the product to be smaller and can also reduce bulk transportation costs to a greater extent. The innovative design eliminates all metal parts, making the device not only lighter but also fundamentally resistant to corrosion. Anti-UV (ultraviolet) ingredient is added to the engineering-grade housing to prevent it from brittle and cracking even after years of use in the environments exposed to sunlight.
